Family / Surprises / Traditions

Karla Hoppe
Adam Washousky
This past Thanksgiving our family was blessed with the news that my younger sister and her husband are having a baby! It was not only a blessing but a beautiful surprise. It made Thanksgiving all the more special. Families were brought together and celebrations were in order.
After Thanksgiving we all spent the holidays in our respected states from NY-FL-CA-MA-MN Yes we're wide spread. This Christmas we vowed to keep our family traditions alive and well. Making cookies, hanging holiday lights and making a beautiful Italian Feast made us all seem close this past Christmas despite the mileage betwen us.
As the new year starts, 2020 is a year of understanding, moving forwards, blessings, love, abundance and crushing goals. I'm thankful for my family, my God, my boo. I'm excited to start 2020 healthy and prosperous and wish all the same!

Fitness

Adam Gerard Washousky

Fitness
Fitness has always been a huge part of my life. From a gYm rat, to sports & everything in between I've achieved and crushed goals I've set for myself. As I've aged my priorities have changed from being the biggest / strongest power lifter to a more practical approach one that I've seen my brother and my brother in law adopt. A few years ago my brother started the Keto diet. He did it hard. He's a "Keto Carnivore" and his belief in this popular diet has influenced his family to take on the keto life. My brother-in-law share same fitness goals as my brother although not full time keto we take on part-time keto. With the motivation and friendly competition we share our goals, workouts, diets, and approaches to fitness. Great spending week with these two, stay grinding. No pain no gain gentlemen.

Pursue Your Passion

Adam Washousky

All is not lost. When we fail at something we learn and get better. Finding you passion is hard. You will fall and fail along the way. That's Murphy's Law. Don't blame yourself or others. Just keep pursuing your passion once you discover it. Don't allow others to steer you one way or another. If you passion is helping people...wake up everyday and help people through volunteering or giving a smile to a stranger to make their day. If your passion is loving be a lover of all things. If you passion is fitness go to the gym and don't quit when the lactic acid in your muscles is boiling over. Don't let the little things get to you because they will. Think in abundance. Think in attraction. You will attract great things. It's happened to me personally. I've been through some of the worst things in life and the better things in life. I found myself at my lowest. I never lost sight of my passion.
Find it and pursue it. You can have multiple passions to pursue but that one that keeps you up at night and wakes you every morning is your true calling.
Wishing all Peace and Love.

Keep it simple find your Symmetry

Starting working out at a young age my buddies and I always worked on our upper-bodies. We we're top heavy to say the least. Long chicken legs, ripped upper body. 2 things I've learned from body-building is to stretch and strive to find symmetry.
Great Leg work out below:
  1. Squats. 4 Sets 4 Reps / Mirror your body-weight (increase 10lbs per week)
  2. Jump Squats: No Weight / Wide Stance / 4 sets of 100
  3. Lunges: 4 sets / 25lb plate each arm 35lb plate each arm 40lb plate each arm 45lb plate each arm
  4. Straight-Leg Deadlift. 6 Sets 6 Reps / Find your comfort zone and break it up / go big!

Moving On, Moving Forever Forward

Adam Washousky

Do the events we experience throughout our lives define us?
I'd like to think the events we experience in life don't define us. It's how we react to these events & circumstances that define us. That's what builds our character. It defines our why & how we got to a certain place in life and our purpose & perseverance in getting there. As humans, we haqve the capacity to make decisions and choices. We can choose to accept our circumstances & keep on keeping on down the same road. We can also choose to not accept our circumstances and in fact change them throughout hard work and determination. Don't blame your past, your current life circumstances, or anyone but yourself. Once you start to put the blame on your own shoulders you have the innate ability to change your circumstances and build the life you see living. Nobody is perfect. Yes we have all seen success to whatever degree that may be. Success is comfortable but can be stagnant. Becoming to comfortable or stagnant can set us up for failure. Failure to realize that you don't just stop when you reach a goal. You keep climbing onto the next branch, the next mountain, the next goal. Change your life, change your circumstances, believe in yourself, be your biggest supporter, supporter others, embrace change, move on, moving forever forward. #mindset #movement

Press Forward

As humans we have an unimaginable power to adjust our motivation. What kind of life do you want to live? Find what you want. Commit to your goal. Find your destiny. Don't blame or point fingers. Work towards that person you know you are. Dig deep. Get sick and tired of your circumstances & adjust your motivation, bump it up. Refuse to be denied. Create your own success. Refuse to tap out. Be comfortable at being uncomfortable. Be great!

Organization = Time = Success

Throughout my tenure at Excelsior College I was able to acquire an assortment of skills. These skills were mostly learned through the lesson plans & course content I was studying. One important skill I learned and developed was organization.
Organization is a life skill that one may or may not be taught a young age. I believe we all have it in us to be organized. Organization isn't a virtue, it's something rather taught and that can be honed.
Taking online classes is unique. You have to be organized. If you're not you might as well chalk it up as a loss for the class. I say this because taking courses online requires you to be on the computer at a certain time, submit assignments in a timely manner, respond to teacher, lessons, and peers every single day. Some courses are modified & constructed to help aid in organization others weren't. Navigating through these online courses, syllabus, lessons, web format, I realized the importance of organization. I learned how to hone this skill through compartmentalizing sections of the course, sections of lessons, sections of the conversations between peers / teacher into excel files, word docs, etc. This became a tedious task but proved to be fruitful.
Every course I took at Excelsior College had a degree of difficulty to it. Having and honing the skill of organization helped me complete each course with relative ease. Through hard work and determination I graduated Cum Laude in the Criminal Justice Master's Program from Excelsior College.
The silver lining in all of this was that organization gave me time. My responsibilities for given courses required me to be active on my computer daily & it was time consuming. Once I became organized I noticed I had more time. What would I do with this time? I ended up opening an eBay account and starting a few stores. I was able to complete my work and also have gainful employment at the same time. That's what we call a beautiful thing my peers. Organization gives you extra time and in return allows you to utilize that time to succeed in school / life.

Avoiding Lower-Back Pain as a Fitness Enthusiast

As owner and founder of A-Team Operations, Adam Gerard Washousky leads as an online retail entrepreneur with a focus on exceeding customer expectations. A longtime resident of Florida and New York, Adam Gerard Washousky enjoys lifting weights in his free time.

Avoiding lower-back pain when engaging in weightlifting is often achievable by taking simple precautions and maintaining correct posture. Safety begins with proper form, which includes firmly planted feet and maintaining a straight back while being careful not to lift from the spine.

The two major types of back pain involve flexion-based and extension-based dysfunctions. Flexion issues are most common in today’s office-bound society and can be alleviated by proper posture while sitting at the desk and taking breaks for short walks or stretching exercises throughout the day.

By contrast, extension-based dysfunctions are most common among those who work out or participate in athletics regularly. One type occurs when the pelvis is overextended, or positioned in an anterior tilt, for an extended period. When experiencing this type of pain, avoid exercises that can exacerbate the problem such as back extensions and squats until the pain goes away and mobility is restored.

Creating success through your passion.

Creating success through your passion.
Find your passion. Have short, mid-term, long term goals. Accomplish and crush these goals. Mind you all the while establishing new goals. Life can hit hard and alter the path you take to crush goals but just roll with the punches you'll make it.
Online retail was perfect for me. I was in grad school online sitting in front of a computer all day. Boring but learning. Studying but wanting more. I was sitting stagnant a term i like to use and wanted to make some money. I threw some stuff on online retail sites (#shout out to my brother) and started to see some success. I enjoyed it, it became interesting and it developed into my passion. I'm an entrepreneur at heart. That being said you can have no fear of loss.
I rocked up grad school and was buying as much inventory up as possible and selling on multiple sites. Investing into your passion and being about your purpose creates success.
#stay focused #stay grinding #no fear of loss #creating success through your passion.
